UPDATE, 9 p.m.: Calfire says the Tully Fire has grown to 300 acres in size and has destroyed one structure. Zero percent containment. Evacuations continue. If you are in the Weitchpec area, the Libby Nix Community Center is open to evacuees.

UPDATE, 5:43 p.m.: Fire personnel on the scene report that multiple structures are threatened and that the fire is moving at a “dangerous rate of speed.” CHP has been requested to the scene to conduct traffic control on Highway 169. PG&E is being asked to shut off power since multiple power poles are on fire.

Original Post: Scanner traffic indicates that multiple agencies are responding to several wildfires centered about one mile south of the Martin’s Ferry Bridge on Highway 169 near Weitchpec.
Calfire is referring to the fire as the Tulley Fire and says they are currently evacuating people from the area.
We will update as we hear more.
