This afternoon the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office issued two small updates to major incidents that took place last week.
As regards the homicide shooting death of a Redway woman, which came to light Wednesday morning:
The decedent in this case has been identified as 52-year-old Stephanie Faye Gawboy of Redway, Ca.
Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide. Anyone with information in regards to this case is encouraged to call Detective Jenn Turner at (707) 268-3642 or the Sheriff’s Office Crime Tip line at (707) 268-2539.
Meanwhile, an autopsy has been performed on David Fulton, the man who barricaded himself in his McKinleyville apartment building all day Wednesday before dying in an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement officers:
An autopsy was performed on decedent David Fulton. The autopsy revealed the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds. Toxicology reports should be returned in approximately one month.
