The National Weather Service of Eureka reports that 7 to 8-foot-swells will cause sneaker waves along Humboldt beaches throughout the day.

The NWS recommends beachgoers keep a safe distance from the surf.

Nearshore buoys are reporting a northwesterly swell around 7 to 8 feet around 18 seconds this morning.

This will generate sneaker waves through the day. Never turn your back on the ocean and stay much farther from the surf.
