Bobby
Voy Fox died on December 6, 2016 in Eureka at the age of 74.
Bobby was born on July 15, 1942 in Aberbeen, Wash. to Glen & Velma Fox. He graduated from Arcata High in 1959. He married the love of his life, Judy Arnold, on August 13, 1960. Together they co-owned John’s Used Cars & Wreckers.
Bobby always contributed to his community. A few of the organizations that benefitted from Bob’s generosity were Redwood Empire Little League, Relay for Life, American Cancer Society and Redwood Acres Raceway. Bob loved woodworking and spent many hours in his shop.
Bobby is survived by his children, Suzette (Kirk) Younker & Rick (Kim) Fox; sisters, Beverly (Steve) Thomas of Dallas, Ore. and Barbara (Leon) Pearce of Campbell, Calif.; grandchildren, Kelsey Younker, Kory Fox, Kaylyn Detherage (Jared), Joscelind Ayala (Vince), Dylan Fox and Riley Fox, all of Eureka; great-grandchildren, Cooper & Kade Ayala and AnaMay and AttaLynn Detherage and many nieces and nephews. Also, special friend Judy Cunha.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Judy (Arnold) Fox; parents Glen & Velma Fox, brother William Fox; sister Bonnie Copher, In-Laws John & Gerry Fernleaf.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Wharfinger Building with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate.
