Pirates, crayons and presidential candidates plunged into 53-degree water this morning, in an effort that raised more than $12,000 for the Redwood Discovery Museum.

Thirteen groups of donors signed up for the 15th annual Perilous Plunge fund raiser, each sporting unique costumes and leaping styles.
