Two people have been displaced after a structure fire destroyed their home on Zwierlein Drive in Klamath around 11:45 a.m. today.
Both occupants were initially trapped inside the burning home, but were able to escape before firefighters arrived. One of the victims was hospitalized for breathing difficulties.
Calfire, the Klamath Fire Protection District, the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office and a Del Norte Ambulance responded to the scene.
Calfire Public Information Officer Laura Coleman told the Outpost that the structure is a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
