Highway 299 to/fro Redding is going to be a bear this afternoon, after a rockslide triggered by construction blasting poured more rock onto the road than expected.

Our very good friends at Caltrans District 2 in Redding posted the following somewhat hard-to-read infographic to their Facebook page a couple of minutes ago. It says that motorists may expect two-hour delays at Buckhorn — between Weaverville and Whiskeytown — with intermittent full closures, while crews work to clean up the rock.
