Born on 24 January 1943 in Arcata to Bruno Pialorsi and Mercedes Pialorsi of Orick, Lois resided in Orick for all of her 73 years of life. When Lois was 24 years old her father gifted the family dairy to her, which she operated and managed for 49 years until her death. She raised two children: Richard Byrns and Linda Byrns. She had three grandchildren: Brent Coonrod, Trent Stevenson, and Tyrin Stevenson. Lois was very close with these grandchildren and loved spending time with them, and watching them grow as men.
Lois is preceded in death by her father, Bruno Pialorsi Sr., and nephew, Gino Pialorsi. She is survived by her son Richard, daughter Linda, grandchildren Brent, Trent, Tyrin, siblings Dolores and Bruno, mother Mercedes, and great-grandchildren Chloe and Kinsley.
Lois is remembered as being a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sibling. She had a special relationship with her grandchildren, and enjoyed seeing the kids help on the dairy and watching them compete in sports.
Throughout her life Lois always put family first and before all other needs, considered her most admirable trait. She had the ability to enjoy the little things in life such as get togethers with family, cooking meals for everyone, working tirelessly to prepare family events, her love for flowers and feeding her hummingbirds.
Lois was a contribution to everyone that got to know her because of her friendliness and care for the people around her. Lois was greatly appreciated and known for her ability to always prepare a delicious meal. Lois truly wanted everyone to be happy around her and will be remembered for that.
Lois Jean passed away on April 29, 2016 and will be dearly missed.
