PREVIOUS CRANE: McKinleyville Assault Suspect Released at the Scene; Sheriff’s Office Puts Out Warrant For His Arrest

Crane

On Monday, October 31, 2016 at about 6:30 p.m. Humboldt County Deputies responded to a report of an assault and battery that just occurred at the gazebo area on the 1500 block of City Center Rd in McKinleyville. Deputies spoke with two male victims and one female victim on scene. The victims stated they were speaking with the suspect, 46 year old Scott Joseph Crane. During the conversation Crane got upset and assaulted the two male victims. The female victim attempted to intervene at which point Crane assaulted her. Crane then left in an unknown direction. Each victim stated they wished to press charges against Crane. (LoCO: Emphasis added.)

Deputies located Crane in front of a residence on the 2100 block of McKinleyville Ave. Crane was arrested for assault/battery and violation of probation. He was taken to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and booked for the above listed charges. His bail was set at $20,000.
