  The Eureka Police Department is investigating a possible shooting that was reported near the corner of California and Washington Streets around 3:15 p.m.

According to scanner traffic, a man was heard shouting “don’t shoot,” before a single gunshot was heard

According to a reporting person, an armed man was seen fleeing the area toward the alley between California and Pine Streets.

LoCO reporter Andrew Goff is on scene and reports that five EPD vehicles responded to the call. We will update when we know more.

No ambulances have been dispatched to the scene.
