FORTUNA, CA- On November 5, 2016 at approximately 4;53am, Officers responded to a Motel, located on Alamar Way for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.  Upon arrival, Officers contacted an employee who reported a male adult approximately 6‘03”, thin build, wearing a dark jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, red t-shirt, black bandana covering his face, entered the business, brandished a sawed-off type shotgun and demanded money from the employee.  The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A suspect of a similar description attempted to rob a Eureka gas station with a shotgun on Nov. 3. No word if the incidents are related. We will update when we know more.
