From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On 11/09/2016 at 1:50 p.m., three Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were conducting routine foot patrols in downtown Garberville. In the 800 block of Redwood Drive, one of the Deputies recognized Pearson Wallace-Hoyt (age 31). Wallace-Hoyt was identified as a Domestic Violence and Robbery suspect from an investigation dated 11/07/2016. During this investigation, Wallace-Hoyt was alleged to have assaulted a victim and then forcefully stole property from the victim’s immediate presence.

Deputies contacted Wallace-Hoyt and place him under arrest without incident. During a search of Wallace-Hoyt’s property, Deputies located some of the victim’s stolen property. This property was subsequently returned to the victim.

Wallace-Hoyt was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked for violations of PC 273.5 (Domestic Violence) and PC 211 (Robbery). Wallace-Hoyt’s bail was set at $50,000.
