A pedestrian was clipped by a passing vehicle after stepping into the roadway near the intersection of Broadway and West Hawthorne this afternoon. She suffered minor injuries to her leg, and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
At the scene, Ofc. Ben Omey told the Outpost’s Andrew Goff that no crime had been committed in the case, neither by the driver nor the pedestrian.
Emergency personnel spent some time trying to figure out to do with the victim’s cute little dog (pictured above) while the victim was being treated. After some discussion, they located a relative who agreed to temporarily care for the dog, which is little and cute.
Omey then loaded the cute dog into his patrol vehicle and drove to the relative’s room at the Flamingo Motel, where it will recuperate.
