Molinda Marie Rose passed away surrounded by her family on April 5, 2017 at the age of 84. She was born in Philippi, Tenn. to Luther and Ethel Higdon on December 22, 1932. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1968. She became a CNA at age 53. She was a resident of Silvercrest Apartments in Eureka for the last 10 years.
She loved to play cards and was known to make an awesome fruit cocktail cake. She liked taking selfie photos with her grandchildren. She was known as one who was not afraid to speak her mind but also as a loving person who always offered a warm hug and a big smile. The most important thing to her was her faith in Jehovah God and it was the last thing she spoke about before she fell asleep in death.
She is survived by one of her three brothers, Alvin, and wife Jan Higdon. She was preceded in death by her daughter Emma Jean Rose, and her husband of 23 years Arvel L. Rose, and her son Lonnie Rose and her daughter Eickery Hanson and daughter-in-law Kathy Rose. She is survived by her son-in-law Frank Hanson of Willits and son William and wife Diana of Eureka, and daughter-in-law Barbara Rose, and son Arvel Rose Jr. of Dayton, Nev., and son John Rose of Rio Dell, and daughter Rebecca Rose of Arcata, and son Tommy and wife Patricia Rose of Mckinleyville, and daughter Balinda Rose of Eureka. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She also had several nieces and nephews and many friends that she also considered her family.
We would like to invite family members, friends and neighbors to a Memorial Service, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 1:30 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4511 Campton Road, Eureka.
