Diana
Lynn McCoy was born on
Aug.
2 1971 in Fortuna. She
succumbed to injuries from
an
ATV
accident on
Nov.
26, 2017.
Diana was preceded in death by her Grandma and Grandpa Henderson, her Grandma Stephens, her aunt Dora Estes and her younger brother, Duane McCoy. She leaves behind her only child, Elisha McCoy; Grandpa Rev. Raymond Stevens of Burney, Calif.; parents Shirley McCoy of Missouri and David McCoy of Louisiana; uncle David Henderson and aunt Donna West, both of Missouri; sister Cheryl McCoy Eilers of Idaho; sister-in-law Chrystal McCoy-Hatten of Fortuna; and six nieces and nephews – Samantha, Sabrina and Shelden Eilers, and Johnny, Anthony and Harley Linz.
Diana was raised Pentecostal. She went to Scotia Elementary School and graduated from Fortuna High School. She also attended College of Redwoods. She then moved to Oklahoma, where she gave birth to her son, Elisha McCoy, and also found her career in home caregiving, which she loved and thrived at. She then moved back home to Humboldt County.
Diana was a beautiful, kind-hearted and laid-back person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, collecting rocks on the river and many other hobbies. She was an amazing mother.
Daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many, Diana will always be loved, forever missed and never forgotten by all who knew and loved her.
Cremation will be done by Goble’s Mortuary in Fortuna. We will be having a celebration of life for her at a later time.
