From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:
On Dec. 5, 2017 around 1:18 a.m. a deputy with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office observed a suspicious vehicle idling in the Starbucks parking lot on Myrtle Avenue in Eureka.
While investigating, the deputy discovered 21-year-old Peter James Little Raccoon Hunsucker asleep in the driver’s seat with a loaded firearm on his lap.
The deputy safely removed the firearm.
Hunsucker was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on the following charges: felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of a loaded firearm in a public place, violation of probation and possession of a controlled substance.
