Spring is arriving early in the U.S. this year. USGS

As spring creeps up on the rest of the country, Humboldt is having itself a snow day.

The National Weather Service of Eureka reports that snow totals this weekend will be lower than originally anticipated, but the white stuff should continue to fall in low elevation areas through tomorrow.

Coastal hills are expected to receive the most snow. Affected areas can expect anywhere between one to four inches of powder.

Get your winter on while you can, Humboldt! The first day of spring is March 20.

Maybe these photos sent in by various LoCO readers will inspire you to take some time out of your work schedule to play in the snow.
