From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office

On 07-19-17 at about 2143 hrs Deputies were dispatched to a report a gunshot victim walking around the Alderpoint area. Deputies were initially unable to locate the female victim, but later contacted her at Jerold Phelps Community Hospital in Garberville. The victim had a wound to her arm/hand area that appeared to have been made by some type of projectile. Deputies were able to determine the incident occurred in the Wool Mountain area of Trinity County. Humboldt County Deputies completed a courtesy report and the investigation has been turned over to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office.
