Any idea why 6 police cars just raced down the highway south of Eureka?

Says another:

Something major going down south of Eureka. Several law enforcement vehicles hauling ass with lights and Sirens going even black unmarked cars and trucks.

Frightening! But it turned out to be a non-emergency.

Stacy Hanson of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office tells us that one of their deputies went radio-silent this morning after getting into a short altercation with a person somewhere out Highway 36. However: The deputy has since checked back in, the subject has been detained and the brief moment of panic has ended.
