From the Eureka Police Department:
On June 28, 2017, at about 3:00 p.m., a Humboldt County Probation Officer and Detective with the Eureka Police Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP) saw 54 year old Eureka resident Aaron Anthony Nelson driving near the 600 block of 16th Street. The detective was familiar with Nelson and knew he was driving on a suspended driver’s license. The detective conducted a traffic stop and arrested Nelson for driving on a suspended license.
During a search of Nelson, officers located over 19 grams of heroin packaged for sale, a useable amount of methamphetamine, and US currency. Two pounds of processed marijuana bud was located inside the vehicle.
Nelson was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for possession of a heroin for sale, transportation of heroin, possession of heroin, transportation of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, committing a felony while out on bail, and driving on a suspended license.
