This morning LoCO staffers spent more time than we should have sneakily gawking at the hawk-like predator perched just outside our Old Town office. We snapped a picture of our new oppressor through the window (we attempted to open the window, but the bird reacted to the slightest noise. Plus, we wanted to protect the rodents who share this space). 

Look!

What is that?

Uh, is its tail red?

No.

Then it is impossible to know. 

Or is it? Based on the amount of likes we receive anytime we mention the Humboldt Bay Eagle Cam, we know there are some bird nerds amongst the LoCO readers. So, tell us: what is trying to kill us! And how long do we have to live!
