Paul Timothy Martin of Eureka went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Paul loved with all of his heart and his heart simply gave all it had.

Paul was an extraordinary man who touched so many lives. Paul was a man of the Lord, an adored father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to so many. His family and loved ones were at his side in the end. He will be forever remembered by his daughters and their families Shelley, Mike and Zachary; Brittany, James and Aedan and his siblings and their families; Jerry, Nancy, Esther, Shirley and Heather, his dear friends Keith, Mike, Rosemary, Wende and so many more.

Paul was an avid sports fan and loved his Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals.  He enjoyed playing football, baseball and tennis himself.  Paul moved to Humboldt as a young man to attend HSU, where he played Tight End for the Humboldt State Lumberjacks.  He enjoyed playing softball as a Third Baseman on Mazzotti’s Team for years as well.  Paul was a talented woodworker and a natural musician as he had fun with the trumpet, sax and clarinet.  Paul had many talents, but what made him so special was his personality.  He was a character and loved by all those that met him.  He was also a wonderful father, which was evident in his love for his daughters and his grandsons.

What a loss to this world! Heaven rejoiced, however, as Paul was welcomed by those who preceded him — his Father George, Mother Juanita, a few loved ones and many beloved pets.  As we are the ones left to miss him, we should all celebrate Paul’s life and the impact he made on all of us.

Please join us in a Celebration of Life as we commemorate Paul on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Sequoia Park Gazebo in Eureka.  If you have any photos or written memories of Paul, please bring them for our memory book.  Many knew Paul as Neander-Paul in his later years, a nickname he relished.
