Humboldt’s most interesting atmospheric week ever continues! 

Following last night’s coastal lightning-fest, the National Weather Service announced this afternoon that rain and thunderstorms could be in store this evening for Humboldt’s interior. Read the NWS update below:

 

Update, 4 p.m. Wednesday: A line of thunderstorms, oriented from SE to NW, stretches from Ruth to Willow Creek. If you are driving over Highway 299 and 36 over eastern Humboldt County into western Trinity County, you may encounter rain showers and thunderstorms. These showers and thunderstorms will be moving to the NW at 30 mph.

There is also an area of shower and thunderstorm moving NE towards NE Del Norte County. If you are driving on Highway 199 near the Oregon border, you may encounter these showers.
