Park Rangers with Redwood National and State Parks are seeking the public’s help as they work to identify two men suspected of vehicle burglary and using a stolen credit card. In late July a vehicle was broken into while parked on Alder Camp Road near the mouth of the Klamath River.

Several items were taken from the vehicle. Not long afterwards, a credit card stolen during the burglary was used at the Pem Mey Fuel Mart in Klamath. Security cameras captured two suspects and their vehicle. However attempts to identify them have been unsuccessful. The accompanying photographs show the two adult males. The men are associated with a dark-colored, four-door sedan.

Visitation is steadily increasing as visitors come from across the country and the world come to experience the wonders of Redwood National and State Parks. Unfortunately, crime is also on the rise. Vehicle break-ins and other crimes against people visiting their parks hurt not only the victims, but our entire community by damaging our reputation as a welcoming, first-class tourism destination. Park Rangers from Redwood National and State Parks work tirelessly to increase and maintain park safety in the park.
