Jean-Marie Meeks
(Tanner).
Born Feb. 26, 1954 to Yada Olson and Larry Tanner in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Passed away on Feb. 2, 2018 at St Joe’s Hospital, surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and later had moved to Butte. Montana. where she met the love of her life and married Gary Allen Meeks. They had a very happy life together and had five kids throughout their marriage. Minnesota to Montana
She spent many years raising kid’s and later in life enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy — every day of life, it was all about the kids.
Jean had a very caring outgoing personality which really came out at her most recent job at the Henderson Center Laundromat, where she befriended almost everyone. She was that bright personality that people came to know and look forward to seeing when they came in. In her free time she liked to go to the casino to dance the night away and play keno. She was always the life of the party and she always had a huge smile on her face.
She is survived by her children Glen Meeks, Gary Meeks, Melissa Meeks and Michelle Koreen (Meeks); her 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; her brother Doug and her sister-in-law Julie and her sister Dolores and brother-in-law Dale. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Alan Meeks, who passed away April 17, 2011, her son Henry Erwin Meeks, her brother Dale and her mother and father.
