Two Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office deputies and one suspect have been transported to the hospital after an officer-involved shooting incident in Crescent City Monday morning. 

According to the Del Norte Triplicate at 9:33 a.m. deputies reported “shots fired” after engaging with a suspect on E. Madison Avenue just off Northcrest Avenue. Scanner traffic suggests that the suspect sustained “multiple” gunshot wounds during the incident while both officers were reportedly being treated for stab wounds. All three were transported to Sutter Coast Hospital.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Neither the deputies’ nor the suspect’s identities have been released.
