Oh dear. LoCO has received numerous messages in the past hour or so from readers wanting to know, ahhh, why are there so many helicopters whizzing past out heads! It’s only Monday! 

It’s all going to be okay. The North Korean invasion is scheduled for next week*, not today. Chill.

What’s the deal, though? LoCO reached out to skywatcher Emily Jacobs, program director with the Humboldt County Aviation Division, who told us that six army helicopters landed at ACV yesterday to fuel up. They stayed over last night. Four left earlier today and the other two will soon follow.
