Eureka Police Department press release: 

On June 6, 2018 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Broadway for the report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian injury traffic collision.

Upon arrival on scene, officers located a female pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle while crossing Broadway, outside of a crosswalk. The female was transported by ambulance to the hospital and appears to be in stable condition.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene prior to officers arriving on scene. The vehicle was last seen traveling east on Wabash Avenue from Broadway. The suspect vehicle was described as possibly an early 2000’s model black Mitsubishi Lancer, with a loud exhaust. No other descriptions are available at this time.
