Eureka Police Arrest Man in Connection With Early Morning Broadway Burglary
Eureka Police Department press release:
On 03/19/2018 at about 4:31 am, officers responded to a business, located at the 1400 block of
Broadway, for the report of a burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, officers located a broken window to the front of the business, but no suspect was
present. Officers received a detailed description of the suspect from the business’ security
company and began searching the vicinity. Officers soon located a subject closely matching the
description provided, sitting in the parking lot of a nearby business. Several items of stolen
property from the business were found on the ground near the subject. He was also found to have
additional stolen items on his person. The subject, identified as Andrew Jay Park (28 years old),
was taken into custody for burglary and ultimately booked into the Humboldt County
Correctional Facility. Park is being held on $50,000 bail.
