Rick Robert Woodard
June 22, 1955 to April 25, 2018

As a young man, Rick served in the Navy from 1972 to 1975. He continued to serve his community as a firefighter with USFS, and he enjoyed his work with children as a teacher’s aide. He was a loving father and grandfather. Rick touched the lives of many — friends, neighbors and business associates. He seemed to be liked wherever he went.

As well as being an avid 49ers fan, he loved camping, fishing, being near the ocean and traveling whenever he could — all the while with his beloved Reggae music playing as loud as possible.

He died early April 25, surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Trisha Ridenour, and her husband, Justin; three grandchildren — Malea, Tis and Linda; his brother Paul and his sister Jamie; and his loving bird, Sweety.

We were blessed to have him in our lives and will miss him terribly.

A celebration of life will be held on May 19 at the North Jetty starting at 12:30 p.m. This will be a potluck-style BBQ filled with food and fond memories of Rick.
