Betty, beloved partner, sister, daughter and friend to all who knew her, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, October 19, 2018 in Eureka.

She is survived by her husband/partner, Jerry Carter of Kneeland; stepchildren David Carter of Eureka, Elizabeth (& Bruce) Ward of Brookings, Candyce Carter of Arcata and Jaime Tripp of Eureka; grandchildren, Jerry (& Sarah) Ward of Green Acres, Washington, Cassidy Ward of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Kimberly Shelton of La Follette, Tennessee, Mikkaila (& Nathan) Welker of Rexburg, Idaho, Dean Carter of Nevada, Thomas Ward of Provo, Utah, and Alexandra (& Brandon) Winstead of Spokane Valley, Washington.

She is also survived by her brother, Jim (& Jan) Boozer of Fortuna and her sister, Geri (& Bob) Murray of Burney, California, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Bud and Esther Boozer of Fortuna.

Truly, Betty was loved by all who knew her because of her kindness and generosity. She spent the majority of her life in Humboldt County, working several years in radio before going to work at Eureka Printing Company. She has a great love for all animals, especially her beloved dogs and cats up on Kneeland. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to your favorite animal charity in honor of Betty.

There will be a Memorial Service held in her honor on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hydesville IOOF Cemetery, 3501 A Street, Hydesville.
