Jason Douglas Atkins
born July 25, 1979; passed November 8, 2018
Jason left this world too early, a true “local legend.”
Jason was exceptionally talented in everything he did. He loved working with his hands and creating masterpieces. He also loved spending time with his dad at the races or working side by side with his father, who was truly his best friend. He found the most joy in riding his “Time Machine,” his pride and joy, his Hayabusa street bike, where he would become one with his bike and ride like the wind.
Jason was a hero to so many. He was so strong and powerful, with a heart of gold. He liked to help anyone he could, and would give you the shirt off his back. Jason also loved animals as well. He left behind his two dogs, Tucker and Dakota, and one cat named Bobcat who misses him so much.
This town will never be the same without him .We suffered a great loss when “Creator” took him home. Jason was the love of my life and my best friend. Rest in peace, until we meet again …
He is survived by his close family and friends — father, Douglas Atkins, daughters; Nakayla, Novalee, Autumn and Shaw-way Atkins; girlfriend, Summer McKnight; close friends Beth Quenell, Jeremy, Junior and David lungi, Wade Smith, Dan and Monica Bartley, Curtis, Shiva Bond, Gala Judd, and Arnold and Kathy McKnight, and many more.
Jason’s services will be held at the Moose Lodge on Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. It is a potluck, so please bring food and drinks and help us remember a “Local Legend.” If you have any questions, please contact father Doug or girlfriend Summer at 707-273-3798
Thank you all for the kind words and support. Jason would have been proud.
