A Southern Humboldt man was arrested Friday following a month-long child pornography investigation.
On Oct. 9, 2018, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division received notice from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of a possible child pornography investigation.
Over the course of their investigation, deputies learned that Terry James Silva, 56, of Miranda, was possibly in possession of child pornography. On Nov. 16, deputies served a search warrant on two residences associated with Silva on the 2700 block of the Highway 254 and the 300 block of River Road in Miranda.
Silva was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of possession of child pornography.
