Eyes forward, ocean lovers. Our local weather watchers at the National Weather Service Large warn that northwest California can expect surf between 18 and 24 feet Monday night through Wednesday night.

“Beachgoers should exercise caution,” NWS said this afternoon. “Avoid dangerous locations such as exposed rocks, jetties and cliffs. Stay much farther back from the water than usual. Larger sets can appear suddenly and can be deadly if you are not paying attention.”
