The Corsairs’ late winning streak came to an end on Wednesday along with their season, as the CR men dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Lassen.
Redwoods lost 16-1 and 9-2, closing out with a record of 6-30 overall and 4-12 in the Golden Valley Conference.
The Corsairs came into the game riding a late three-game winning streak, but were unable to keep it going, with the home team pulling away and ending game one in seven innings.
Luis Pimentel pitched four innings for the loss on the mound, allowing six earned runs on five hits.
In game two, Hokeem Sadon took the loss on the mound, allowing nine earned runs on nine hits in four innings.
At the plate, the CR bats were led by Kyle Wallace-Cabanas who was 3-for-4 with a double.
James Garcia closed out a stellar individual season with a double and two RBIs.
