A Fortuna family that went out for dinner returned to find two naked strangers inside their home last week.

“We came home from dinner tonight to find these two in our house,” resident Tara Johnson wrote on Facebook. “The girl was completely naked in the kitchen cooking dinner while the guy was taking a bath!”

Sgt. Jason Kadle with the Fortuna Police Department said officers responded to the home on the 2500 block of Rohnerville Road at about 9 p.m. on August 22. Inside the home, officers found Christopher Michael Bacon and Osha Marie Vanatta nude inside the of the family’s bathtub.

Both suspects were arrested for burglary and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.

Kadle told the Outpost that it was later discovered that the two suspects also used a cellphone found inside the house to take selfies, which the family shared on Facebook.
