Kathleen Diane von Alvensleben was born on March 20, 1951 in Eureka to John and Jacoba Mills. Growing up in Arcata she attended
Bloomfield, Stewart and Arcata High Schools.
She was a very
loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. To know her was
to love her.
She is preceded
in death by her mother and father John Mills and Jacoba Nelson; stepfather William Nelson; daughters Rachel Dawn and Tari Lynn Donahue; and randsons Maximus Silva and Hunter Allen.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, George von Alvensleben; daughter Audra von Alvensleben and son George von Alvensleben (Liz); grandchildren Peyton Allen, Gunner, Hailey and Kaxandra Silva; great-grandson Jordan Allen; brothers John (Cathy) and Keith Mills; and numerous nieces, nephews and children she adopted as her own.
There will be a celebration of live in the coming new year.
