Courtney R. Perrault passed away January 11, 2019.

Courtney was born on May 24, 1944 in Everett, Washington. He had lived the majority of his life in Humboldt County. In his younger years he worked in the logging business and fishing. Later in his life he worked as a contract painter for Fred Jewel. Courtney loved his work and always wanted to do the best that he could do. He expected the same from his co-workers.

He was a friend to all that knew him. Always willing to help someone in need.

Courtney was a member of the Moose Lodge in McKinleyville. Every weekend in the summer you could find him at the lodge mowing the lawn in the park area. He loved sitting and talking with his friends with a Bud Lite in hand. He will be missed dearly by all of his friends.

Courtney was survived by his sister, Nancy Knudtson, and several nieces and nephews. I would like to extend a special thank you to Tom Velcoff, Jackie Sheggaby, Chester Wright and Shanell Beyzade. Also thank you to Hospice for helping and keeping him comfortable. I could not have done it all by myself. Courtney was my best friend!

A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Lodge in McKinleyville on February 23 at 1 p.m. It will be a pot luck. Memorial contributions may be made on Courtney’s behalf of Hospice or a charity of your choice.
