August is US Coast Guard Month in the City of Eureka.

Please join the City of Eureka in celebrating the US Coast Guard at the annual Coast Guard vs. Eureka Employee softball game. The game will be held on Saturday, August 3rd beginning at 10 a.m. at Kennedy Field in Eureka. The public is invited to attend the game and barbeque lunch to celebrate the men and women of the US Coast Guard.

Immediately following the game, the Sequoia Zoo will host Coast Guard families to the zoo for a fun filled visit and ice-cream provided by Eureka Main Street.

Coast Guard Sector Humboldt Bay will hold a “Open House” at the Samoa Coast Guard HQ on August 10 th from 10 AM to 3 PM. The public is invited to come out and visit!

The City of Eureka will issue the Coast Guard a formal proclamation at the August 6, 2019 Council Meeting honoring their service to the City of Eureka. Join us in thanking the members of the US Coast Guard Humboldt Bay for all that they do to protect the City of Eureka and the north coast of California.
