Damian Henderson hit his team-leading seventh home run of the season as the Humboldt Crabs ran out to a 12-2 win over the California Expos at the Arcata Ball Park on Friday night.

The win was the fifth straight for the in-form Crabs, who improved to 11-10, putting them above .500 for the first time this summer.

Henderson, who is hitting .383 on the year, has given the Crabs plenty of power at the plate, with 15 of his 23 hits going for extra bases.

He finished with two hits and a pair of walks in Friday’s win.

Ryan Higgins also had a big game for the Crabs, finishing 3-for-5, while Dawson Bacho was 2-for-5 and Aidan Morris added a double.

Josh Molerus got the win on the mound, pitching seven strong innings, allowing two earned runs on three hits and a walk while striking out six.

Ryan Cowdrey and Dalton Smith each pitched a scoreless inning in relief.

The visiting Expos were held to just three hits and had four errors.

The two teams will continue their weekend stand on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
