Eureka Woman Arrested Following Armed Robbery on Broadway
Eureka Police Department press release:
On 6-4-19 at about 9:01 pm, Eureka Police Officers responded to the 1600 block of
Broadway for a reported armed robbery that had just occurred. The suspect was described
as a white female adult in her 40’s or 50’s with a heavy build, wearing a black sweatshirt with
a black and white bandana coving her face. The weapon was reported to be a knife. The
suspect was last seen fleeing on foot to the rear of the business, with an undisclosed amount
of money.
Upon arrival officers immediately began searching the area, conducting witness interviews
and processing the scene. Based on the information obtained and surveillance footage
reviewed, a suspect was developed.
Officer’s located the suspect, identified as Judy Lynn Long (51 years old of Eureka), at a
residence at the 100 block of West Simpson Street. Long was ultimately taken into custody
for robbery, false imprisonment, and a parole violation. Officers also located items of
evidence consistent with the robbery.
Long was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on her fresh charges. Due
to her parole status, she is ineligible for bail at this time.
