Local agencies — the National Weather Service and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, specifically — warn that interior communities could experience temperatures of 100 degrees or more. As such, citizens are encouraged to take necessary precautions so they don’t experience any heat-related issues — and for God’s sake don’t leave any sentient beings in a hot vehicle!
