Baseball fans are well used to late scheduling changes here on the North Coast, and that’s the case once again this weekend.
With rain forecast on Saturday afternoon, a series of games involving St. Bernard’s, Ferndale and Middletown have been moved forward.
The action now gets under way on Friday at 2 p.m., when the St. Bernard’s and Middletown JVs play, followed by a pair of varsity games.
At 4:30, Ferndale will play Middletown, while St. Bernard’s and Middletown will play at 7.
The weekend action concludes early on Saturday, when the St. Bernard’s and Middletown JVs will match up once again at 10 a.m.
All four games will be played at Bomber Field across from the Redwood Acres.
In other baseball action this weekend, Fortuna is scheduled to play Willits on Friday, while McKinleyville is scheduled to play at Kelseyville on Friday and at Clear Lake on Saturday.
The Hoopa Valley boys are also scheduled to play a doubleheader at Trinity on Friday.
