Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:
On May 11, 2019, at about 12:37 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a motel on the 3100 block of Redwood Drive in Redway for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that three victims had been hanging out with one male suspect in a motel room when two other male suspects entered the room through an open door. All three suspects then reportedly brandished firearms at the victims, demanding cash and other valuables. The three suspects reportedly stole several thousand dollars in cash from the victims and a cell phone, prior to fleeing the scene in a blue, four-door SUV.
The suspects are described as following:
Suspect one is described as a black male adult in his early 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 250 pounds, stocky build, with short black hair and no facial hair.
Suspect two is described as a black male adult in his early 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall, 160 to 180 pounds, wearing a black ski mask with a single oval shaped eye cutout.
Suspect three is described as a black male adult in his early 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 230 to 250 pounds, stocky build, wearing a black ski mask with a single oval shaped eye cutout.
This case is under investigation and has not been confirmed to be related to other similar reported robberies at this time.
