On November 26, 2019 at about 11:50 a.m., officers with the Eureka Police Department
responded to the 1300 block of Bayshore Way in Eureka for the report of multiple people
yelling for help and a man down on the ground.
Once on scene, officers located a 52-year-old Eureka man with multiple life-threatening
stab wounds in a gravel lot off of Bayshore Way. The man was transported to a local
hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Based on information gathered during the investigation, Trevor Gillihan (24 of Eureka)
was identified as a suspect. Detectives located Gillihan around 12:45 p.m. near the foot
of Vigo Street in Eureka. Gillihan was transported and booked into the Humboldt
County Correctional Facility for attempted murder.
