The McKinleyville Panthers swept aside the challenge of Brookings-Harbor for the second time in a little over a week in volleyball on Thursday night, winning 25-5, 25-20, 25-20 at McKinleyville High.
Cameron Heenan continued to impress with 18 digs, six kills and six aces, while teammate Hailee Henry added six kills, a pair of solo blocks and three aces.
With the win, the Panthers improved to 7-2 on the young season as they continue to build momentum heading towards league play.
The win also gives the Mack girls some momentum heading into this Saturday’s Arcata tournament.
Rian Heenan also had a big game on Thursday, finishing with six kills, seven digs, two aces and a block, while Hannah Bolton added 12 digs.
Lexi White, who is also enjoying an impressive start to her senior season, finished with 21 assists eight digs and five aces.
