In loving memory of,

Betty Sue Sadler, Blasingame, Garrett. Born in Missouri, May 25, 1936; Laid to rest February 1, 2020, age 83. She went peacefully in her sleep.

When Betty was a little girl her and her family moved to Eureka from Cortez, Colorado. They traveled by horse and buggy “back in the good old days,” as she would say. She graduated from Eureka High School in 1955. From there she went on to work different jobs to take care of her family. She worked in the shrimp factory, where she would take the Madaket to get across the bay. She also worked in the General Hospital as a Candy Stripe Nurse, before moving to San Jose. She retired from GTE Sylvania, in Mountain View in 1992, and from there worked a short time in the Milpitas Post Office. She worked very hard to take care of the people she loved and still had time to bring so much laughter and joy into their lives.

Betty loved road trips with her family and even friends of the family; She would sing to everyone as she drove down the road! She loved to read, specially aloud, fun stories and articles she found interesting to share. She also loved art, and was quite the artist herself. She loved to draw and paint, and crocheted beautifully. She was very crafty and she put so much love and care into everything she made, and enjoyed giving them as gifts.

Betty touched the lives of many and was loved by all who knew her. She excepted everyone as family and had a growing family even through her final days. She will truly be missed and thought of often with much love!

Betty is persuaded into death with her Mother, Otha Lee Collins, Father, Lewis Bonapart Sadler, and Sister, Evelyn Sadler (1940).

Betty is survived by her 6 children; Levina Elliott of Modesto, Cindy Garrett of Eureka, Niles Garrett Of Loleta, Tammy Corley of Loleta, Sarah Quast of North Dakota, and Jennifer Ferriera of Arcata; her 4 sisters; Anita Wolf of Happy Camp, Mavis Hunter of Foulk, Ark., Naoma Hadrian of Arcata, and Bonnie Salzar of Oklahoma. She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

We want to send out a special thanks to the ICU of St. Joseph, and the Humboldt Hospice for all of their care and support. And all the family and friends that made it out to give their love and support!
