Donna Carol Terry went home to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on February 10, 2020.

Donna was born on March 25, 1945 to Harold & Christina Thomas in Susanville. Donna’s family relocated to Modesto in 1947, when Donna was 2 years old. She graduated from Ceres High School in 1963 and went on to attend community college in Sacramento. Donna stayed in Sacramento after college until moving to Boonville in the summer of 1976. She finally settled in Fortuna in the spring of 1977 and married Dave Terry in 1979.

Donna enjoyed attending church, playing her tambourine, camping, crafting, quilting, journaling, playing softball, shooting pool and gardening. She especially loved her rose garden and would spend hours tending to them. “Remember my love for roses and think of me when you smell them”, she wrote in her last journal.

Donna started a small craft business, Country Mom’s Gifts, that she ran from home while simultaneously being a stay at home mom. Her craft business took her to fairs and festivals across Northern California.

Donna is preceded in death by both parents, Harold & Christina Thomas, brother Eugene Thomas, sister Dolores Slater, nephews Bruce & Steve Thomas and her beloved little dog, Tinker.

Donna is survived by the father of her children, Dave Terry, son Joseph (Jet) Terry, daughter Trista & husband Jeremy Kurtz, granddaughter Gianna Tuey, sister Virginia Adotto and mother-in-law Olga Terry.

A private memorial will he held in Donna’s honor. Please contact the family for more information.
