Eureka Woman Arrested for DUI After Crashing Vehicle Into House

On January 3, 2020, at about 7:20 p.m., the Eureka Police Department received a report
of a possible DUI driver at the 4300 block of Broadway. The caller followed the
suspected vehicle and relayed their updated location.
An officer located the suspect vehicle at Harris and Harrison and attempted a traffic stop.
The driver failed to stop and continued north on Harrison. The officer initiated a pursuit
but quickly terminated it for safety reasons. The officer ultimately located the vehicle
crashed into an un-occupied home at the 1800 block of Harrison.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Daisy Leen (28 of Eureka).
Leen was extricated from the vehicle by Humboldt Bay Fire. Leen was transported by
ambulance to the hospital for treatment and was later booked into the Humboldt County
Correctional Facility on charges of evading, DUI, driving while unlicensed, and
probation violation.
