Original Post: The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents of Hydesville to give them some room while they deal with a situation on Mendes Lane. 

Thus far, HCSO has issued the following tweet:

#HappeningNow HCSO SWAT responding to 3300 bl of Mendes Ln in Hydesville for a man barricaded inside a residence with a gun. Residents of the area are asked to stay inside. Please avoid the area while peace officers are present.
